strange happening...

I mentioned this to someone today and they looked at me like I was mad! maybe I am! I wonder if anyone here understands a little better? Many nights just as I am falling asleep, i see something..a face, a staircase with someone halfway up it, various other things - I believe this is called the hypagogic state? Immediately after seeing the image, I am fast asleep. Last night was a different experience...I was falling asleep when I heard a loud noise like ''Ker-ching!!!! ''..bit like the noise of an oldfashioned cash register when you press the keys down. I saw a card with writing or symbols on it, very bright blue background with a black edging. The sensation was as if this card was slotted into my forehead, bit like putting a sim card into a mobile phone,in a downwards movement. The loud noise and the brightness of the card woke me up completely,but I was able to get back to sleep easily after pondering a little while...any ideas please..any similar experiences?
