The 2013 Oracle Deck - Ancient Keys to the 2012 Awakening - by David Carson & Nina Sammons

This is a seriously cool deck of cards. The cards themselves are shaped kinda like big tic tacs with shiny black backs. The artwork is very very beautiful and cool. It comes with a cloth that has 4 jaguars on the corners and a centote in the middle - the cenote imagery is a round black circle which is meant to be a sacred pool of water.

There are three positions on the cenote cloth, Venus at the top, and the Sun and Moon at the bottom. Whichever card you pull first - a sun card or a moon card - will determine if the cards go clockwise or counterclockwise on the cloth.

I have found even a 3 card spread is pretty sufficient to answer my question. But you can continue to pull three more and three more until you have fully fleshed out the situation.

What is really fascinating is that these cards are good at reading energy. The whole system is based on Mayan, Aztec, Toltec and Mound Builders imagery and knowledge. The cenote pool in the middle holds the moment the Sun aligns perfectly with the Galactic Center in late 2012. So, it doesn't have the same dynamics of a Rider Waite deck, etc. Paraphrasing from the book - "The 20-count cards (Sun cards) are used for revelatory significance and to evoke power. The 13-count cards (Moon cards) represent the deconstruction of old values and the realization of heightened human potential. These cards bring revelations and clarity as it unfolds the cosmic patterning underlying any life situation."

I asked a question yesterday and I got my first card, the Water Dog - Metamorphosis. The Water Dog is a salamander, and he tells you that you are going through a metamorphosis and can help you process pain or loss and minimize any sort of suffering. The WD leads you on a journey through your deepest understanding and guides you through profound shifts of consciousness.

There's more on the WD, but that's a quick reference. And boy did it hit home so much, it hit me smack in the heart chakra!. I was processing some 20 year old garbage that I thought was long since dealt with.

Anyhoo, this deck is really quite amazing. I use it anytime I am wanting to read energies. Sometimes I am going through stuff and I'm like what the hell??????? I check in with these cards and they just straighten my mind out so quickly. They really help me just check in with my progress when my 3d bs gets my mind all wonky and off-track.
