Future Paths

I was wondering. We are all working on the Ascension of ourselves and the Universe in our daily lives. Most of us lift our vibrations through compassion and understanding and it is a wonderful thing. But has anyone out there know what they are supposed to do after the ascension happens, or if it fails to happen. Sorry for the negative words but just as we are not promised to breathe life every morning the ascension has not been promised. So what is your path after all is said and done, either way?
