What REALLY happens in four years' time?

Like so many of you (especially those over 40 like myself and older) I have had a strong sense of my life's purpose all of my life, but now my cards are messed up! One reason for this is that the ascension issue has come into my life only recently and quite suddenly, and although I am happy it is and do feel a lot 'going on' inside and out... I do wonder what exactly it is supposed to represent. Now I'd like to discuss this on a level of common sense, in between people and not so much from the perspective of aliens and such.

Ok, so if in about four years a certain cycle is completed and the vibrations are higher. What exactly happens then? There is turmoil going on on the collective level already, but surely it's not going to go away in only four years' time?? All those 6 billion people minus the few of us who are more aware... they must have TONS of hidden (shadow) issues that need to surface. So is this date denoting a time when the 'real' work actually begins? I cannot believe life will be honky dory in four years time. Maybe for us it will be much better and fulfilling, but what about all the others? I've been trying to follow up on these things here on this site but my capacity is not so great... can't go through everything... it's too much, makes me too tired and confused. That's why I'm starting this thread. So what are your feelings and opinions right now, from a REALISTIC point of view? I am asking because I feel a need to envision my own place in the future world!
