Amazing energy work ...

Okay ... I know energy work WORKS, but this is amazing to me.

Last night I turned the burner on my stove on high and put my cast iron pan over the heat to warm up, and went upstairs for a minute. I got distracted and by the time I got back to the cast iron pan, it was burning hot. I pushed the pan off of the heat by the little handle with my thumb and forefinger ... and holy crap, the burning sensation was absolutely searing.

Everyone together ... "Cheryl you big dufus ... it's a cast iron pan on high heat!"

After I called my reflexology "guinea pig" (i'm a student) to tell her I had to cancel for the night, I put my fingers under cold water, and then spent about 1.5 hours giving it Reiki. I spoke to a friend who has done something similar, and he told me that I've probably got second degree burns and to pop the blister when it develops and drain it and cover it with a bandaid, etc.

I gave myself more Reiki before bed.

This morning, not only aren't there burn blisters on my fingers, but it is barely red.

I KNOW that this was a serious burn. The stinging, burning sensations continued all night and it is still sore to the touch. I did something similar last year but didn't give myself Reiki because I burned myself just before going out and didn't have time -- the burn blister did develop that time and it took ages to heal.

I never cease to be amazed by this.
