Spirit Guides and Healing

I have a quick question for everyone: do you ever feel your guides doing energy/light work on you? Sometimes I feel them working on me during meditation or when I am about to drop off to sleep. I think they are trying to balance my energy by draining the negative and replacing it with positive energy. During this time, Chakra line has energy running up and down my back and feel much calmer.
