C-51 ... Canada's new law that will make your supplements illegal

Following is my letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Perhaps if we get the word out, we can stop this madness!

Dear Prime Minister Harper.
I am writing to let you know that I disagree very much with C-51 which was proposed by Minister of Health, Tony Clement.
It proposes sweeping changes to Canada's Food and Drugs Act, which will not only take away the rights of Canadians to find alternatives to the pharmaceutical industry, but will devastate the health products industry. Therapeutic products, such as supplements and herbs, etc. are the only way that many people manage their health ... having given up on a failing and unethical pharmaceutical industry.
I urge you to read about the potential and very threatening risks to the health of Canadians if C-51 gets passed into law. A few sites worth looking at are:

It is my belief that if more Canadians knew about and were aware of the far-reaching effects of C-51, and that this law was going to be pushed through the House of Commons quickly and quietly, more people would be protesting it. Unfortunately, this quiet maneuver by the government (and I am sure by the pharmaceutical lobby) has been executed well ... every person I have spoken with about it doesn't know it is happening!! How is that something that will affect most Canadians isn't being discussed openly, giving time for consensus??
Please. Uphold the rights of all Canadians to self determine their health. To hand the health of Canadians over to the pharmaceutical industry and other groups with their own agenda is a slippery slope ... and Canadians will die while their rights are taken away.
