i am emelar of the light. an intuitive healer, medium, spiritual counsellor, metaphysician, indigo child, author, scientist, woman, mother, sister, friend and human being. i am of mixed welsh, cree, sioux, french and dutch heritage. my path is not defined by any one way. i have a unique perspective that has been created throughout my many lives, and is heavily influenced by yogic philosophy, cree/sioux spirituality, buddhism, celtic traditions, and my spirit guides. i have been working with the light as long as i can remember, and have learned many things on my own, directly from Spirit. i have also trained with many exceptional teachers. through these experiences i have become a reiki master, and metaphysical counsellor. i hold a bachelor's degree in geography/environmental studies, a bachelor's degree in metaphysics, a metaphysical minister certificate, and an associate's degree in biology. i am currently working on a masters degree in metaphysics at the university of sedona. my master's thesis focuses on the benefits of meditation for children. in addition, i am developing cirriculum to introduce children to meditation in schools. i am also working with add/adhd kids to get them off medication by teaching them breathing techniques and medititation. my freelance writing career focuses on spirituality in all it's forms, and i am also in the process of writing the story of my own journey with the light. my goal in life is to help people find the light for themselves, and i am progressing toward creating a sanctuary for seekers here on vancouver island. my life is a blessing for which i am eternally grateful.
