Look at things from my perspective,
They’re not always what they seem,
Reflecting mirrors and liquid skies

Sky-bound birds caught on fresh winds,
Their song carrying, echoing across green hills,
Golden suns and a whisper of cloud,
Flowers oozing with precious pollen.
And as a breeze passes by, catching her skirts,
She joins in a rush of excitement,
For the wind is her own, her very soul,
A spirit that dances eternally on.
Spiralling, spinning the day draws her further,

Liquid crystal, it runs like a mighty great steed,
Over whispering ferns and green cloaked rocks,
Weaving its web through hill and steep valley,
A ceaseless urgency drawing it on.
And by its side she sits, patiently observing,
Her own pale reflection as it dances on waters,
Cold dark eyes speak of her sorrow,
Yet a flicker of hope remains in her heart.
To the river she came day upon day,

A crystal moon in the nightly sky,
Summoning all like a glowing eye,
A wolf that moves so carefully on,
His soft white coat effortlessly shone.
From faraway he had come,
Friend or foe, he had none,
A great spirit of wind was he so,
His destination he did not know.
For wander he did every night,
Under the moon’s careful light,
Long forgotten was his name,
Long forgotten was his game.

She is silent, humble in her long waiting,
Ages have passed and all has remained,
Like a fragment of broken glass reflecting
-Just a little of what image was set before.
Time moves onward, displayed in the land,
Skies roll above a world of loneliness,
Shadows grasp at her pale skin, rain falling,
Yet she notices not the damp clutch of its power.

Memories of who I used to be dance across my mind,
Places I’ve been, faces I’ve seen,
Of those I’ve left behind.
Things long passed and those to come,
Of all I’ve yet to find,
Love to hold, light to behold,
Of all human kind.
And one simple thing was told to me,
One simple task to do,
“Keep on climbing, higher and higher,
Until you discover you.”
