Ecclesiastes
Posted June 21st, 2008 by CharityThis is one of my favorite parts of the Bible. I have been questing for wisedom, and like Soloman sometimes it's very unrewarding. Like they say in monster movies "Perhaps there are some things mankind should not tamper with."
There's a time and place for everything. I've learned that especially on the Internet. Sometimes it's good to play games, but other times it's best to be serious.
I Need Sleep
Posted June 19th, 2008 by CharityFor the past week, I have been having trouble sleeping. When I lay down, my noose acts up. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night. I hope it is just a cold. Perhaps I use the computer too much. I am also 17 so my body clock could be getting messed up as I mature. There are too many possibilities.
I think I will watch some cartoons and take a nap.
A Song in Perspective
Posted June 18th, 2008 by CharityI bought my father three CDs for Father's Day. They are all '70s songs. I don't like alot of them. But I love "Little Willy" by The Sweet. It tells you how some people can't be pushed around. That some people refuse to submit to other's authority. It makes me wonder if Willy is a rebel or just arrogant. Or maybe he is an arrogant rebel. A portion of the song says that Willy won't go home.
Ameythst
Posted June 17th, 2008 by CharityOne of my favorite gems is amethyst. My favorite color is purple. I also read the Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld comics. Amethyst was said by the ancients to prevent drunkeness. It was once considered rare. But they found alot of it a few years ago, so the value has dropped. I still like it however.
Isis & Other Egypian Deities
Posted April 25th, 2008 by CharityI have recently been looking into Egyptian mythology. I have loved the civilization of Ancient Egypt since I was a little girl. My interest has waned since the King Tut exhibit a few years ago. I believe the Egyptian government made a poor decision. They did not have the mask or coffin.
I wonder what would have happened if Christianity had faded and Isis had become the official religion.
Michael ~ Warrior of God
Posted April 22nd, 2008 by CharityHe's so beautiful in drawings. There is a statue of him in my church. Michael rebukes the Devil, and makes it so that goodness can endure.
He is a wonderful protector. Michael is an immortal and not bound by our physical laws, so he always has time to help you.
He is one of my nine angels, and in my opinion of the Seven Archangels before the throne of God.
Digimon and Emotions
Posted April 20th, 2008 by CharityI loved the anime Digimon. It contained alot of ideas about emotions. It was deep and unfortuantely came to the U.S.A after Pokemon, so it wasn't as successful.
I liked how each of the kids had a Digimon and a Crest. Each of the kids had personality. I guess they could have been archetypes. Izzy was the geek, Sora the tomboy, Mimi the girly-girl. It was very simple to understand.
Logic Counts
Posted April 19th, 2008 by CharityAt least to me it does. Here are some things that I don't like. Things that make it hard for me to read posts.
* Poor Netiquette
Words in all capitals are generally considered the typed equivilent of shouting. Bold words if you want to emphasize something.
* Format
Blocks of texts are literally hard to read. It's better to post small paragraphs instead of one big one.
To Be the Odd One Out
Posted April 17th, 2008 by CharityWhat I always found interesting is that in the Old Testament, a true prophet was often not believed by many people. It's inspiring to those that fight against the grain in the name of Truth and Justice.
Jesus reminds us in the New Testament that leaders often disbelieved prophets. Many of them were killed, and their deaths fill the Bible and Jewish folklore.
Love of Eden
Posted April 13th, 2008 by CharityIt's still there. We are still outside it, and we shall remain outside it unless we chose to dwell within it, when Eden is the world.
My favorite part of the Bible is the part in Revelations at the very end. The Tree of Life is there, bearing twelve fruits. The leaves are for the healing of the nations. I wish to eat of the Tree of Life. God be willing.
