rainbows

The other day my friends and i were looking for rainbows as we drove along this curvy road. There were a bunch of overhanging trees on our left and as with any rainbow-hunting situation things were a little magical feeling as it was rainy and sunny. We didn't find one in the sky but something I had not seen presented itself when many of the cars around us, both coming toward and moving with, sprouted beautiful rainbow tails that lasted mere seconds and popped up randomly as we all looked around and awed at the whole thing. The light and the laughter and the beauty of this moment will stick with me for some time I believe, not to mention some kind of lesson about looking at what is around and not always at what is above. :)
