Elementals - Praying Mantis

Does anyone know what part they help out in energetically? I remeber reading in Doreen Virtue's Fairy book that the frogs and dragonflies help disperse negative energy, but was curious as to what the Praying Mantis does. Had one in my backyard last week and was kind of curious about it. thanks and love! Karen
