My cat got sick suddenly

My cat suddenly got sick, I took her to the vet, she's running a 106 degree fever, she was fine this morning, they are keeping her overnight. It's the first time I've been separated from her--I'm a single woman, no children, live alone and she means so much to me. I'm completely freaking out and have no access to any sort of rationality at the moment! Please send her healing, her name is Ivy and she looks like a Sylvester cat. She's a Star Kitty, she arrived 2 weeks before I got here, having fallen out of a tree at my sister-in-laws feet--and my sister-in-law took her home over the objection of my brother saying, "She's here for Sylvia". The moment I met Ivy we connected so strongly.
