Difference in lightworkers response to disaster of Hurricane Ike

"Question Everything" is a personal mantra. The question that occurs concerns the seemingly obvious discrepancy in responses, on this site, to Gustav vs. Ike. Last week there was an "Urgent" message on the home page. There was a blog entry that garnered over 170 responses. Have some chosen to keep quiet regarding their views/efforts on the anticipated effects of this storm? No joint meditation? I'm not trying to create controversy just asking what seems to be obvious.
