Song of Ages

There are days when I forget what has been bestowed to me. There are days when the defining lines of my true self are smudge by daily living. There are days when I must hold fast to true knowing and bring the lessons forward from beneath the multiply layers of self.
There are days when the starkness of war, hunger and poverty, sickness and strife war upon as if I were on the front line.
There are days when I must remind myself of who and what I am.
Today is one of those days.
Come Light
I welcome you
Adorn my mind with your rays
Come great luminary and cast your bliss upon me
For I am your child
Birthed from your glow
My mothers travail brought forth your gifts
Come Moon, come sun, come stars and dance upon my life
So I may sing the melodies in my soul
So bound to you as all earths children
I am upheld by your vision my sight washed in white light
I am enfolded in your care my love like great Jupiter triumphant in the heavens
At first separation left me lost and confused
Fumbling my way through these earthly plains
Self obsessed, not understanding that there is a purpose
Then through each vital breath life energy brought to me reminiscences of a before time
When I was one with the One
Adorned as a sparkle of divine light
Then through the deeper understanding of love I realized with humility that I was trying to get home
I’ve found my bearings again…truly I am grateful for this day
