~ They say that wisdom comes with age ~

I think it is safe to say that many people do find a deeper level of wisdom with old age, but it is not a given.. I have known plenty of older folks who have died just as lost and broken as they were when they were younger.. Some even seemed to be wiser when they had youth on their side.. It is true that with age comes "experience", but not always wisdom.. Just as it is true that with age comes gray hair, but not always dignity..

I have also seen wisdom at many different cultural levels.. One of my most adored and wisest friends is a man who has accumulated as much financial success as a man would need, he has a wonderful home on the beach of an island, and needs for nothing that he cannot afford in his retirement.. Another one of the wisest men I had met was a poor old black man who literally lived in a shack.. Both of these men are at peace with their circumstances, and with their lives...

~ So what is the real Secret to Wisdom? ~

I am sure there will be many variations of answers to this question, and I believe I can sum it up very simply... Truth is the answer... Of course I also believe that simplicity plays a role in wisdom, once things are broken down to their simplest form it is easier to see and understand the truth, however wisdom can exist in an element without simplicity, wisdom cannot exist in an element of non truth...

So, where then does wisdom actually come from? Does it come from the logical mind? Does it come from study? Does it come from acquired knowledge? Or does it come from someplace else?

~ Wisdom comes from the heart ~

That is the answer that fits for me.. No matter how you slice it or dice it, knowledge and education are "gathered information" they are attained through acts of scholar and achievement.. But they are not wisdom.. They may aide in the use of wisdom, but they are not wisdom alone.. Does wisdom then come from the logical mind of man? the power of intellectual calculation? I think not, it may play a role, but is not the answer your seeking when looking to understand wisdom.. Wisdom is a gift of knowing and understanding, from a place that resides deep inside.. A place that your mind has only limited access to, because the files of generations and generations of experience are too vast for our human awareness to take on, therefore we only have access to what we are searching for in the moment, but how do we access it?

The answer again is truth... When I am finished with trying to look good, or sound clever, or seem cool, and I am willing to be fully who I am, and accept the reality of each moment as what it is... Not trying to mask it, alter it, or make it be something it is not, I am living in the truth of the moment and allowing myself to connect with myself on another level... I am at peace with my spiritual self, and opening the door to the inherent wisdom... The wisdom of the grandfathers...

Speaking of wisdom for me is awkward because I do not want to come off as I believe I am wise.. I do believe that I have allowed myself to step onto the path, and there are times when I am in that place, that place of peace with my spiritual self and I say things that I was not even aware that I knew... I mean, I know that I knew it, because as I said it I felt the truth of these words deep down into the very core of my existence, but they did not come from my logical mind... Pieces of the statement may have been directed or strategically placed from the logical mind, but the experience of the words and the power behind them comes from a different place... A knowing place... A place I have never been, yet have lived all of my life...

I am as amazed as anyone else when these statements happen, I have lately been writing them down, and some of you have read them in bulletins.. Some of them have happened as I was creating a bulletin, and some of them have happened in personal messages that I had written to you, my friends... You may recognize some of them...

~Words of Random Inspiration~

This list of quotes is a list of things that I had written at moments when I was interacting with you, all my friends.. Some privately, some in bulletin, but I want you to hear that three things are responsible for these words...

1) My willingness to communicate the Truth of my Soul...
2) An open portal to the inherent wisdom of ancestry...
3) The inspirations you have all given me...

~I hope you enjoy these~

"Sentiment seems to come with wisdom and age...The more I learn, the less I know, and the deeper I love"

"The standards that you set today, will long be remembered in the hearts of those you have touched"

"Deep inside of our heart, lives the spirit of a child... this is not just in some of us, it is in all of us"

"Fear not the end of the trail, for that is certain... Fear only not living your purpose, because that is the true battle of our times!"

"I cannot wait for the rest of the world to do this work first because... I am the one that the world has been waiting for"

"Love is truth and truth equals power, therefore Love is the True Power"

"Stand up for your diminishing rights... be educated... share information... speak up... Use discernment to make wise choices as far as when it is safe to speak publicly... Challenge authority... accept no less than you deserve... BUT... Do not allow it to alter your path from peace or happiness... Keep everything in perspective, as this is but a temporary existence"

"If the truth of my heart shall overcome the fears of my mind, the beauty of my spirit shall be what I have chosen for you to remember me by"

"In the pain of heartbreak, there is a beauty of vulnerability so sweet, that tears could never erase its eternal significance"

"It takes real courage and wisdom, just to be yourself in a world that seems to demand different"

"In these times... these times of deep cultural concern and fear, our choices seem magnified and more significant than ever. They are not.
We have simply ignored the importance of our choices past"

"If we are ever to achieve world peace, we must re-learn to see the world through the eyes of a child"

"If we are ever to achieve world peace and true love for all of mankind, we must re-learn to see the world through the eyes of a child... free of fear and the judgments from our ego's critic"

"Humanity exceeds the boundaries of the rules of bad nations"

"Hypocracy, it is one of the most disgusting and loathsome characteristics in man, because it undermines truth and wisdom"

"It is only when decisions are made from a good heart, a heart of compassion, wisdom, and respect for all things, that authority works... any other way is simply different levels of tyranny"

I'm very curious to know which ones resonate with you all...

~ So where is the path to wisdom ~

The path to wisdom is in your heart, and not in your mind.. It is in seeking a deeper level of truth than most are comfortable with.. It is in transcending the self imposed limitations of feeling and expressing ones inner self, in order to access the essence of the true self and connect with the gifts that spirit has provided for us.. To accept that part of the magic of humanity, is the dance between the spiritual self and the human self, and that all the answers we will ever need are already within us, and that the path of deep and total truth is the way to begin to find these answers...

Wisdom is not something learned in a classroom or attained through books, wisdom is a deep understanding of the world, through a deep connection and relationship with the authentic self...

~ Thank you for being my friends ~

Thank you for inspiring me to be myself, and to grow, and to learn that the more I understand the less I know... Thank you for giving me a place to share my truth, and an ear to hear of my pain and my victories... There was a time when I was as lost of a soul as the world had ever known... The path home to the truth of my soul has given me all that I have ever sought, it is from seeking that from within that has been the difference...

I hope that my truth may somehow inspire you in the ways you have all inspired me... If we are to create a better world it will have to come by way of Love, Peace, and Wisdom... Because it will not come by way of power...
