What is up with all the Chemtrails?

I live in a very rural area with NO commercial air traffic. There is, however, an airforce base nearby.

Today was a beautiful, clear crisp 65 degree day. Early this morning, the chemtrails started. I went out a few minutes ago, and there were 15-20 chemtrails across the sky. And clouds were trying to form.

Are they doing this everywhere today?
Why here, where so few people live?
Are they trying to block us from photons or sunlight?
Are they trying to stop or slow the ascension process, as Pixie suggested to me last week?
Obviously they are using the military, but is this a high level black ops project?
