Taking care of YOU!

Taking good care of our self, what does it mean? For many of us, the belief has been passed down by our ancestors that we must focus on putting other people first, and that if we don't we are being self-fish or un-caring in some way. Back in the day, this was looked down upon and therefore many people started feeling guilty for the slightest thought of taking good care of themselves. This created a bit of resentment, because we started doing things for others from a space of guilt and depletion, as we weren't being very attentive to ourselves.

So here is the good news! That was the OLD-PARADIGM and it NO LONGER serves us now! Although it might be hard to see, there were lessons that we were supposed to take out of those experiences to get us to this point in time of a higher awareness. Now, the truth is, it is our BIRTHRIGHT to put ourselves first and take good care of ourselves! This might still be uncomfortable for some, but this is the space we are moving into, and it will get easier with practice.

So what does it mean to put ourselves first and take good care of ourselves? Well, it means we are fully committed to doing whatever is needed to put ourselves in a space of joy and love! There are many ways to do this! Meditation, massages, playing out in nature, eating chocolate, writing, taking ourselves out on a date, honoring our self, energy healing, singing our favorite song, empowered reading, and going to the beach are just a few of these ways!

The point is: Do what makes you feel good and what puts you back into your center/power! When we operate from this space, we give so much more to the world because we are fully being our truest/authentic self!! From this space, we are giving more then we could have ever imagined! People are uplifted by our presence without even knowing it and if we choose to be of service and help others it's because we know we have received so much from the Universe and just can't help but to share it with them!! This is real giving! This is the missing piece that our wonderful ancestors were looking for, and now they are smiling because we have found it!
