Old drunks & addicts

12 Step Recovery (Alcoholics Anonymous & Narcotics Anonymous) have been the gateway for my awakening.

Here are some of the things this old drunks & addicts have offered me thru a haze of coffee and cigarette smoke:

Connection to the Creative Force is primary

Only when the ego is deflated does true purpose bloom 

The wreckage of my past must be resolved

What other people think of me is none of my business

There is only NOW, regretting the past and/or fearing the future rob me of that

There is no one at fault, stop blaming, it's NOT them

Everything is exactly as it should be

There is reason for everything whether I think I know  the reason or not

Everything changes

Daily prayer & meditation are paramount

Service is our sole reason for being

Resentment is a soul killer

Honesty, Openmindedness & Willingness are the gateway to the sunshine of the Spirit

Gratitude soothes all inner turmoil

There are hundreds of others but that'll do for now.
