Birthing a New Earth
An illustration....Every woman that has ever found out that she is going to have a child must face at some point along the way that pain will be involved. She can bask in the joyful playful moments of pregnancy for a while but eventually it starts...LABOR PAINS!!!! If you are a man reading this the best I can come up with this feeling of needing to push a watermelon out of your ass. Or the equivalent size ratio of a canteloupe out of your wee-wee. In any case you get the idea. Pain is hell. There is no suffering that I can think of that can come close to describing. For me with the youngest 4 days no drugs. Yet hating the pain doesn't change it. All it does is bring it even more into your awareness and is ALL you can think about. Screaming and hollaring does little to change the fact it hurts like HELL!!! But does a mother hate the cause of this pain? Does she blame the child inside her for the agony she is undergoing? No! I personally blamed my husband at the time but that's another story! No mother resents the child inside her for what is happening. She eventually surrenders to the course of nature as the baby emerges into this world and takes his first breath. And then what happens? Usually the mother is weeping crying overwhelmed with gratitude for the miracle that has just taken place. She hold the child to her lovingly forgetting the last several hours as they are swept away in joy of the new life that is in her arms.
What I am suggesting with this is that each of us and the earth is going through a birthing experience right now. It has been said that this is the moment of the Divine Feminine. I can understand why. It seems some on the site feel the need to control and force the baby out whereas others are more inclined to allow nature to take its course. Yes there may be wailing, suffering, screaming, cursing, shouts of injustice, unfairness but in the end we know that it will be worth it.
The question is are you willing to allow the new earth and the new human to be born even if that means allowing the pain in the process? The best we can do is look at our own fears of not being in control. Of not being able to change the situation, of not being able to stop the course of nature.
When we heal ourselves we heal the world...
Yours in Joy,
