From the mouths of babes
Today was a bright and gorgeous day. I was making dinner when I realized I had no more salad greens for dinner so I asked my youngest, Madison, she is four years old, if she would wish to walk with me a few blocks to the grocers to pick up some greens for dinner. She lit up and said yes she would like to come with me. So out the front door we went, holding hands, to the store. She likes to tell me lots of things that happened in her day so as we walked along I listened to her tell the story of her day, like a little bird chirping and happy, her favorite part was when my friend Ami peeled her a sweet juicy orange to eat. That really made her day! We bought a large bag of organic greens and Madison thoughtfully pointed out that the flowers were particularily lovely today, so we bought a bouquet of pink carnations and a think bundle of sunflowers too. On the way home, holding her hand, observing the golden and emerald light shining thru the trees, I asked her, "Do you know how much I love you"? And she laughed and said "A whole lot mommy". I laughed too and squeezed her little hand and said "More than anything in this world". She then spoke up,her voice sweet and small, " I love you too mom, and I love Mabel and Ami and TJ, and I love everyone and I love the whole world". At that instant, those words of absolute love and kindness, I became choked up, tears welled up in my eyes and my heart burst with the joy of a 1000 suns. We are all going to be just fine, I thought to myself, humanity, the world, we are all going to be just fine. I am to give the future, pass on this world to beings as loving and selflesss as her, I will offer up this earth, this world to beings made of love, beings who are as my daughter. They are the keepers of this new world. From out the mouths of babes comes the absolute truth. LOVE.
Hope this little bit of daily life inspires you and adds to your joy.
Love you always, blessings
