EGO

Ego!
Imagine you are an artist and that you influence millions of people with your work, that you give them such fulfilment that it transforms their lives and may even leave them in total ecstasy.

If you were such a person, would you believe that the inspiration you would have would be merely of your own merit? Great artists, professionals in various areas with tremendous talents; spiritual masters; where does their inspiration come from?
Each stroke of ‘luck’ or inspiration is the work of an angel; it is the waft of an enlightened being;
Yet humans tend to take all credits on themselves alone
Humans have such strong needs for attention that they tend to look merely at themselves.
They ignore ‘heaven’s doings’.
They think in this way, they actually get more attention, even more power.
I would rather say this is their EGO; the illusion of having what does not belong to them but rather, to others. The more people hold on to ‘things’ which are not their own, the quicker they develop the fear of loosing them
Perhaps it is because they actually know it does not belong to them
The firmer one tries to hold on to things, the stronger becomes the fear of loosing them.
Nothing goes with us to eternity except our ‘soul’!
When we let go of things without the fear of loosing them, it is because we never really thought they totally ours, nor do we think that we would deserve them wholly. In truth, we do not allow ‘ego’ to take over, nor do we have false illusions or pretences.
Ego is all that one believes in yet usually, one only believes in what is safe.
Ego is the system that allows your brain to believe in happy illusions!
When we are children, our ego needs the magic words adults often say, such as “you are beautiful”, “you are so intelligent”, and so on, and the means to set ourselves aside from the reality of the soul, begins!
Illusions start!
When the soul loves, it is totally independent from place or time because it has no illusion, it is what it is.
The soul is the intuition of the future, whether independent or not.
The soul approves the future.
Ego only means ‘now’ – harmless!
Fear only exists here and now, because ‘organic substance’ only exists here!
The fear it might hurt;
The fear of loss;
Fear of pain!
When we say that we believe in this or that, we should actually think of what we are really talking about and if we are saying it with conviction, with ‘faith’, or merely because it helps us in some way or another.
If we have no doubts in our beliefs, then perhaps these beliefs are based on our ego. Ego does not like changes; ego does not like the unknown!
Ego usually manifests itself in a very low ‘tone’ coming from the back of our brain and saying “do not risk it”, and it blocks our ‘free will’!
When we ‘unlock’ our ego then we are ready to choose freely with no attachments!
If you have no attachment to material things, then you have a ‘simple’ human being!
Simplicity means unattachment to material things, to illusion, to ego!
