Religion and the Truth

Let me preface this blog by saying I hope I don't offend anyone who is Catholic, Christian, Muslim, Pagan, etc.

I've never felt comfortable with religion, even as a child going to Sunday school, I just knew something wasn't "right" about it.  As a child growing up in a Methodist family, it didn't make sense that I should "fear" God and love Him at the same time.  I thought, "Am I gonna spend eternity fearing a person I supposedly love?"  It didn't make sense.

As I grew older, I asked Christians about numerous Bible contradictions, but they would either justify their answers or outright say, "I don't know".  That wasn't good enough for me.  It seems a bible should be clear-cut and understandable by everyone without ambiguity or contradiction.

Some bibles have verses missing.  Others have been re-edited many times.  Why? What was wrong with the original version?  Why are ALL Christian holidays celebrated on Pagan ritual days?  Certainly, this is not a coincidence.

Many wars seems to boil down to religion.  What wrong with this picture?  What God wants us killing each other?  Pagans were killed if they outwardly practiced their religion.  Why?  Did they know something that religion also knew?

I remember going "church shopping" as an adult, exploring other sects of Christianity, yet I never felt comfortable with any church.

Finally, I looked to myself for the truth.  Yes, I believe in an ultimate Creator but I'm not sure what His or Her name is.  Everything has polarity so it makes sense that there would be a God and a Goddess as well.  It all boils down to being a good person, helping others, living a morally sound life and practicing unconditional love to everyone.  What God wouldn't want that?

I can appreciate some of the lessons and parables in the bible that deal with morality.  I think there's a lot of truth in the bible but I believe it was written to control the masses through fear and is being used as the template for the Illuminati.  This is not what my God does.  We're probably the only planet that has "money" and with our money, we're supposed to tithe God 10-20%.  What God asks for money?  I don't recall where it says in the bible, "and on the fifty-third day, God created money."  Intelligent beings from other galaxies would wonder, "What is money and why is it needed?"  It's not!  Just like going to school or watching television, we're constantly getting bombarded with what we should think, feel, wear, listen to, eat, etc.  Wall Street has created an image of everything and we, as a global society of sheep, buy into it.  Our schools teach us to think inside-the-box and conformity along with someone else's perception of the "truth".  I'd imagine there are many versions of the "truth" in the history of wars, depending on your geographic location.  We now call that, propaganda.

Fortunately, there's a LIGHT at the end of the tunnel.  We're living in a period where we are transcending past time and money as evidenced by the collapse of the banking system.  Without money, it's only a matter of time as we enter the Golden Age.  In the meanwhile, many Christians will remain devout to this bipolar God figure and will continue to follow the flock because this is what they were told was the truth.

We've always known the truth.  We only had to ask ourselves.
