Today Love Wants You to Know #9

It used to be said, "Beauty is only skin deep." It was not only "said," but believed. We know better now.

The old saying implied that if one was physically beautiful, there was more than likely nothing beneath the surface. It was a saying to imply when the looks were gone and age set in, one was up for a big wake-up call.

All of that aside, back to the saying, "Beauty is only skin deep." It is time to not only look at this phrase from a different angle, but then to disagree.

On a level much deeper than the "skin," each and every person has so much to offer that is beautiful beyond measure. This beauty can be expressed through words, art, music, or in the way one loves.

Some exude beauty each and every day just by being their true and authentic selves without the worry of whether or not they will be accepted by all. It is not about being accepted by all, but instead by Self.

There are many ways to express your beauty, but first you must realize just how beautiful you are. Never doubt your ability to beautify the world. Never feel inadequate when it comes to how much your presence can affect another.

You are not "what" you see in the mirror, but instead "who" resides beneath that "skin." There are no "ugly ducklings," only flocks of "swans" still unaware.
