Over my head - a question...

Out walking today, I saw once again in the sky, the 'net' on the edge of my vision. It is well formed, with diamond shaped holes, but as ethereal as ghostly smoke, because as soon as I turn my head to give it my full attention, it is gone. What is it? What does it mean? Does anyone else see it? I also see, at other times, thicker lines that run up (or down) vertically into (or from) the sky. They too are like smoke, but these I can hold in my vision for longer. I once saw one of these move up and down and from side to side over some seconds - it was there, and then gone, and then back again - it behaved as if it were deliberately creating shapes of some kind, but I was too dumb to pick them up!
I also see the white squiggles in the sky, especially on a summer's day when the sky is blue - like millions of moving strings, flicking around in high energy - anyone else see them? Love to catch your thoughts...
