So...Bats again...

Some of you may or may not remember a blog that I posted under the Valanthria screen-name. It was about having a few occassions where bats would circle over my head when I would go outside in the evening. I had a few responses and some helpful interesting ones. Some regarding the bat being my animal spirit guide and also about how bats are the animal of the shaman.

Interesting thing happened. I was in North Carolina over the July 4th holiday visiting relatives. Yesterday as we packed up to leave, a mama bat fell out of a tree. Right on to her back with about 3 babies clinging to her body. As we would get close to her..she would try her best to clutch her wings to her body over her babies. We ended up scooping her up and putting her in a box with towels. After we did this, she turned over onto her belly. It seemed to me that she was going to be ok. But how odd!!!?! Who ever gets the opportunity to see a bat mommy in broad daylight with her babies clinging to her??
