Thoughts & Experiences - June 24, 2008 (Be Love)
‘Love is all we need!’ What does that mean exactly? Well, I can tell you what I think it means! Actually I can only repeat and reiterate what so many other wonderful people have stated so many times already. Love is who we are and that love is everything we need. If we are love then we must love! Love flows through us all, freely and generously. This love was never intended to be kept buried deep within, it was intended to merge with the love that surrounds us all. Often I am asked, ‘how do I learn to forgive’, ‘how do I become more patient’ or ‘how can I become more compassionate’? Quite easily I respond, ‘by being the love that you truly are’. See what we don’t realize or remember is that we are all those things already because we are love. The next time we are in a situation where we feel the love, do not hold it down, release the love and enjoy it. When we are questioning what technique we will need in a forgiving situation toss it out the window and apply the only technique we need, love! Compassion comes from the love within, it is who we are it is what we are. You are forgiving, caring, compassionate, patient, understanding, because you are love! Last week I was told that I was too tolerable but I believe that I am simply being love. Does not being tolerable truly mean that you are being love? When I think about all of this I think about a master and student. The student wants to become just like his master, but doesn’t know how to become that way. The master tells him to look within but the student ignores his words wanting various techniques that will get him there quicker. Every day the student awakes thinking that he has the answer and everyday the master tells him the same thing, ‘it is within’. After many days of asking the master for the answer and receiving nothing but, ‘it is within’ the student tells the master that to be forgiving you must also be understanding. The master nods and asks him to continue! The student continues and changes that to say that to be understanding you need to be patient and then you can be tolerable. The master nods once again but this time smiles. The student now realizes that he has just spun himself into a web. Out of frustration the student stands up and begins to leave only to hear the master say, ‘it is within’! A few days pass and the student returns, humbly he says to the master, ‘it is love dear master!’
The easiest thing for you to do is too love, because just by living, you love already. For some reason or another we are afraid to love, we have been told that in loving we are weak and fragile. We have been told that if we are what we truly are (light and love) that it is not appropriate for this life or this world. Deep down we all know that this is not true, this is why we struggle so much. Something deep within us knows the truth, remembers the truth and wants the truth to be who we are. Don’t be afraid to love, don’t hold back the love, be the love. Are we not tired of the lies that we have been fed are we not tired of all the suffering we see. I am telling you, it cannot be much longer before we awake and remember that we truly are love, all of us, everyone! Give love and receive love, receive love and give love. That is the only thing we truly need! I am no longer afraid to love, I am no longer concerned with what people may think, and I am coming out to love!
Namaste, Peace and Love!
