This crop circle appeared close to the ancient hill fort of Barbary Castle which is near to Swindon in Wiltshire. (England) The formation is 285ft in diameter, and is in barley. It appeared on the 1st of June 2008. At first glance this design is reminiscent of part of the famous crop circle in 1991 which also appeared close to Barbury Castle. Early indications are that the design has the diatonic musical ratio encoded in its geometry. Diatonic musical ratio is a way of showing the musical scale geometrically.

From first glance, it appears that this enormous design, near the banks of Neolithic Hill Fort Barbury Castle shows echoes of the ratchet,

which was one portion of the Barbury Castle Triangle/Tetrahedron of 1991. Its is still regarded as "the mother of all pictograms".

The proportions within this 2008 event indicate a far more intricate ratchet than its 1991 predecessor.
