Sending a good friend to the Heavens and the Light
Dearest Friends,
I write this with a mixture of joy and sadness. In an hour or so I will be driving about 100 miles to a very beautiful and serene place along our Washington Coast.
The reason is not for a family outing or a "Saturday Drive", though it couldn't be a more lovely day for either.
No, today I am tossing the ashes of an old and very good friend into the Pacific Ocean. (I am mixing them with Silver and Gold Glitter so they glow in the sun)
I have never before felt so right in my belief that we are all light and that this body is nothing more than a vessel to hold it.
My friend Jeffrey Morris died last week. He had lived a very sad and painful life after a devastating Parachute accident almost 6 years ago. Jeffrey was in constant excruciating pain all the time and myriad other problems as well. Sky diving was his Joy, It was also his passion.
It hurt me terribly to watch him never fly free again like he did so many times before.
The blessing that most who are attending today will miss is that Jeffrey is finally free of the chains of his shattered body. His bonds of pain and his "wheelchair prison" are broken.
He is free now, to fly with the Light in the Sky!
Bless you my Friend, I know you are right here next to me.
