Tide Pools

Tears are simply water

Manifested through emotions

Dematerialized from the depths

Of the deep salty oceans.

Will I ever taste your tears?

For I've tasted only mine.

Will I ever cause you to cry?

Well maybe I should try.

I may not have emptied oceans

Or lowered the level of lakes

But I've drained a few tide pools

Worth of tears for you.

How they keep flowing

Out of my eyes

Like the tides.
