The First of Many Thank You's

To all who have read DAN's poetry:

He would like to express his most heartfelt thanks to each of you who has taken the time to read, and in some cases, comment on his poems. At first he questioned whether he should share them, since he's not terribly confident in his writing skills, and he doubted if any of it would be appreciated.

As his Muse, I assured him that no matter his motivation for writing, there are incredibly loving, open-minded, sensitive and intelligent souls out there (just like him!;) who would absolutely "get it." Luckily for both of us, he listened to me and posted away. And there's a lot more where that came from.

Anyway, he asked me to write these words directly, without any input from him, since he is (for now, anyway!) simply at a loss for words. He just sits there with both his hands covering up his eyes and face, and he's breathing kind of funny, I must say. Hmmm, just between you and me, I think he's trying to keep from crying. But he can't fool me; I've known him too long...pretty soon it'll be "Waterworks Central" over here. He's just so...you know...(whisper) sensitive.

What's that Dan? Say that again, would you? Ahhh, he's saying "thank you," over and over.
