on being Humble...

I want to share something I'm very passionate about, because I feel it to be key to advancing spiritually, or raising vibration.  Who do you admire most in this world ?  What qualities do they possess that you admire ?  For many, it is humor.  For others, it may be confidence, intelligence, athleticness, good looks, weirdness...the list goes on.  For me, it is Humbleness.  That's not to say, that a humble person can't possess any of those other characteristics.  But what strikes me as so impressive about the humble person, is their acceptance of you.  There is no 'Air' about them.  You never feel inferior or harshly judged.  I feel exhilarated when around humble people, and I've generally seen the same reaction from others.  They are generally well liked people, gentle by nature.  Very polite.  Always greeting those in their path, generally with a friendly smile.

If you look at any religious figure, or know someone personally, they are certain to be humble.  And if they are not, not to disappoint anyone, most likely they are not the real deal.  It is one of the most outstanding characteristics of a highly spiritual person.  Forget, for a moment,  the knowledge, the wisdom, perhaps even the most impressive feats they can do.  It is their humble nature which makes them so lovable.

Some look upon being humble as being weak.  In fact, the opposite may be true.  It takes great confidence to walk humbly in our aggressive world.  But there is a danger, as I have witnessed first hand.  Low energy souls may tend to be drawn to you, because of such openness.  I've always been a magnet for those negative, weak souls whom everyone else has rejected.  They are looking for love, and when they find that bright soul willing to openly accept them, they rush right into your life.  This generally is not desirable, nor is healthy.  One must learn to love and accept from a distance some times, despite how heart-breaking it may seem.

My first goal, in the eyes of others, is to be humble.  I've done my first job as a human being, when I've made someone feel accepted and loved, despite how much a stranger they may be.  As we all know conceptually, we are not strangers at all.  But I don't know that we all truly feel that. 

So I say to you all, go out into the world, with a friendly smile and a warm greeting.  Acknowledge everyone as an equal and a teacher.  See through the ignorance and many masks people wear in order to survive in this world.  You know better and have a bright enough soul in order to be that inspiration that lifts the veil from our human consciousness.
