~ 2008 US presidential election prediction :-)

Ethereal_Mind's picture

I thought I'd go ahead and make an "official" 2008 presidential election prediction, since the likely outcome of the next US president may seem much more evident the closer we get to November. Doing it earlier in the game is much more fun to watch. :-)

I realize many people all over the internet are predicting that any of the three remaining candidates will win (either one of the democratic front-runners), so I've decided to weigh in on the matter and occasionally reference this blog entry as the process unfolds until the final outcome in November.

Much to my expectations, Hillary won Pennsylvania by a 10 point lead, losing the heavily populated suburbs to Obama, but beating him by a substantial margin (60% to 65%) in the less populated rural parts among working class voters. I believe that this trend will continue.

Despite many claims that the US media widely seems to favor Obama coupled with his appeal among many independant voters, I feel that Hillary has always been the stronger candidate to run against McCain, despite the common belief/assertions to the contrary by both the Republicans and the Obama-leaning members of the media. I base this assessment on the fact that it is not the popular, but rather the electorial votes which will decide the outcome in the general election. Although Obama has won more states, Clinton has done better in big, swing states ~ states that the Democrats would need to win in order to take back the white house.

I don't believe that Clinton will be dropping out of the race any time soon despite many calls for her to do so, since I feel she will win a few more states in May.

However, it is likely that the superdelegates will back Obama since he will still lead Hillary in delegate counts by the time they get to the democratic convention and she won't be able to overtake his lead. However, I wouldn't rule out the possibility yet that she couldn't sway the superdelegates in her favor based on the evidence that she has won the big states.

Nonetheless, this is were I come to the likely conclusion of the results of the November election:

Against Obama, McCain would win the "red states" as well as most of the "purple" (swing states), with Florida, New Mexico, Nevada, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Iowa, Ohio, Minnesota & Wisconsin as likely wins for him. It is therefore my prediction that McCain will win the 2008 US presidental election by a significant ELECTORIAL margin, with the POPULAR vote being a little closer in tally.

Updated 6/25/08: Now that Hillary Clinton, who in fact won the POPULAR VOTE in the Democratic primaries as well as being the candidate whom I've long insisted would fair the best against McCain in a GENERAL election has offically withdrawn, many intriguing, even "dark" events have taken place in the political arena. I now firmly believe that Obama, Clinton and McCain are all co-operative agents of the illuminati. Although I still feel that McCain has an advantage over Obama in the SWING states, Clinton's seemingly peculiar (to others anyway) endorcement of Obama and forceful commitment to help him get elected, may prove to be the VERY THING Obama needs to win in those states and get elected president. Of the three candidates, Obama has proven to be the best distraction for the public with his illusion of "change", which may finally explain why potential "dark forces" posing as "light forces" have *endorced* him. Not everyone has been so easily mislead though, as there have been numerous reports of individuals who not only sense, but can even see dark energies around this man. As I mentioned in another post, all 43 presidents have been RELATED to each other, and Obama is not only a distant cousin of Cheney, but is also a distant cousin to President Bush!

Furthermore, Islamic extremism will continue to pose a threat to the US as long as we are dependant on foreign oil, do business with, and occupy their territories. Because Obama has also stated that he opposes any form of domestic drilling ~ like so many other slick politicians who do so in the name of "environmentalism" (I'm a strong advocate of the environment, but this is pure political propoganda) ~ we will not see a resolution to this problem any time soon. Perhaps rich elists like Obama and so many others still fail to realize that most of us simply can't afford to run out and buy a Hybrid vehicle.

Although McCain advocates domestic drilling as a longterm solution, this is only a very recent position he has taken, likely in response to the angry cries from the public whose votes he's desperately trying to win.

... And so the mass deception continues ... although I wish I could say: "Ron Paul for President 2008" (may blessings fall on this truly honest and genuine man).
