Body as reflection of soul
The physical body as a reflection of the soul from a Jewish perspective.
Health and diet. The physical body is a reflection of soul. If we accept the signs of the body, we have the possibility of healing the soul. Even the medical profession recognises that a change in attitude and thoughts are involved in healing. The right side represents logic and the left side feelings and emotions. If we have an earache in our right ear, for example, we are not listening to logic. This spring a rash appeared on my right shoulder. I ignored it. Never gave a thought to what this might signify. Anyway, illness in this view is caused by spiritual dis-connection. To be spiritually connected is to be filled with loving energy all the time. First we guard our mouth with due respect for the good and bad effects of our words. Second, we change our regular habits and the key is digestion. We clean out the stomach with prune juice every 2 to 4 weeks, for all cancerous cells pass through the stomach for elimination as excrement and if the passage is blocked the cancer cells become trapped. It is, by the way, a medical fact that most of our immune system is in the intestines. So if we substitute the word stomach, for the whole digestive canal, it is medically correct. MILK is life giving!! With so many caveats against milk, what is the truth? Our milk comes from the farm. It is raw, unpasteurised and filled I think with good energies. The small son of the farmer with his blond curly hair, just two or is it three years old, runs to open the door and thinks of what else you might need apart from the two acorns in their cups. „No! Wait! You need a flower!“ as he hands me a handfull of grass. I was never nice like that. Then we have HONEY as in the bible “A land flowing with milk and honey”; „honey is known as an exceedingly spiritual food, this is because every part of creation has worked together to produce it. Firstly the sun shines and rain waters the plants and flowers to grow. Then in the life cycle of plants, they produce nectar, which attracts the bees to pollinate and reproduce the plant by rubbing the pollen it has picked up from many plants it has visited. This pollination provides the plant with the ability to reproduce seeds and continue the cycle of life, whilst the bee takes the nectar and produces honey. The making of HONEY by the nectar in the plants and the bees is considered a spiritual gift to humans. Tasting Honey and recognizing where it has come from, that all the collective energies of different parts of creation, which have worked together to produce HONEY, will give a person a very spiritual energy.“ Again fortunately I know where our honey comes from. It is local. From the forest. I know the bee keeper. Next, food must be prepared with love. Food prepared with hate is worse than machine produced. This is also stressed in the book by Wallace Wattles on Being well: a person should only eat from a source that he knows where the animals are loved. Do you know the source of your food and all the energies that went into its growth, harvesting and sale? The cows, the cheese, the milk, the jogurt, the hens and the eggs that I buy are happy. „Hey Kubie, mind those eggs“ which lie in an old basket. Then we come to holding hands in the same text and how the energy is transferred via hands. Hands are a special theme. The velvet hands of elderly people passing only the gentlest of energies. An old man had such hands. He was about 90 when I met him. Then one day, aged 93 and after a jog in the park, he told his family he had had enough of life and would die that night. He died in his sleep. He was a poet. I remembered his hands passing pure energies. Giving not taking.
