The date of this coming Easter is quite early. Heres why:

Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify Passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar.

To Those Who Share Our Deep Concern:

Well after today I don't know when I will be on line next. I am having surgery on Tuesday and I doubt I will be wanting to do anything for a while. Monday I will be doing last minute shopping, cleaning etc. Might pop in for a bit. So don't think I disappeared, I will be back as so as I feel up to it. I was having my cup of coffee outside, I walked to within sight of the bird feeders I have in the back to see if I needed to fill them at some point today. I was noticing the fall colors in the trees and shrubs. It was so quiet, not even a breeze. The feeders were full of little finches of various kinds. The wild turkey chicks were calling to their mamas.

In late August, we celebrate the beginning of the Corn Moon. This moon phase is also known as the Barley Moon, and carries on the associations of grain and rebirth that we saw back at Lammastide. August was originally known as Sextilis by the ancient Romans, but was later renamed for Augustus (Octavian) Caesar.
